Shipping Policy

Shipping-

We reserve the right to contact you regarding the necessity to delay a shipment based on environmental conditions including weather, service carrier interruptions etc. We take this very seriously and want your purchase to be successful.  Since we do our very best to ensure perfect arrival. Please check your addresses carefully. We cannot guarantee orders for which we are given an incorrect address. Extra charges from our shippers for correcting addresses and processing returns will be passed along to you.   

 If you are requesting a specific delivery date, please make sure you select the appropriate method of delivery.  Remember that ground shipping does not include Saturday or Sunday as shipping days.  While we always try our hardest to meet your delivery requests, we ask that you select expedited service if best.  Also, keep in mind that carriers can have changes in circumstances and cannot always guarantee on time delivery. Shipping around the holidays can be a zoo.  We suggest adding an extra few days for shipping during high volume/holiday times. We make every effort to ship your order in less than 72 hours except for weekends and holidays. We ship Monday through Wednesday with the addition of Fridays in cooler weather seasons if you’re in Kentucky or a bordering state in order to avoid weekend transit when at all possible. 

Your shipping costs will be calculated based upon the weight of the product ordered, type of delivery chosen, and the delivery location. Actual costs are applied upon checkout. You are given options at check out for the type of shipping service you prefer; ground shipping, 2-Day Air, or Overnight. If you need other delivery options, please call us so we can make the appropriate arrangements.  We ship from Lexington KY, so please choose a shipping option that will get your item to its destination on time. We do our best to meet your delivery date request, but we can't deliver any faster than the shipping option you choose.

Please be thorough when providing shipping information. Include suite numbers, apartment numbers and floor numbers when imperative to the delivery destination. Incomplete shipping information will delay product delivery and customer happiness. While we guarantee the quality of our products when they leave us, only you can guarantee the shipping details. 

 

Temperatures and shipping chocolate-

When the temperature exceeds 72 degrees along any point in the delivery route, your item will require cold packing to guarantee arrival joy and happiness. 

Please add our cold pack shipping option if you are more than two states away from Kentucky or ordering from April to October. The cold pack shipping cost includes the product, an insulated box liner and cold packs.  We encourage 2-Day Air or Overnight shipping for further destinations to be on the safe side.  Your Chocolate Gift is not responsible for melted products that are not shipped in this manner. Once your order is filled and processed for shipping, we will email you with the information you need to track your package.
